Venue Spotlight · Tomball, TX
Sandlewood Manor: what the venue's own website doesn't show you.
Each part of the day has its own setting here — the grounds, the chapel, the Manor House, and the Ballroom — with venue staff who shuttle guests who'd rather not walk between them. Michelle Stack has planned weddings here more than once, comfortably hosting anywhere from 150 to nearly 300 guests. Here's what she'd tell a couple who just booked it.
Worth Knowing
How guests actually move between spaces.
Sandlewood's own website shows the grounds, the chapel, the Manor House, and the Ballroom — what it doesn't show is how guests get from one to the next. The venue's staff shuttles guests who don't want to walk between spaces, which matters more than it sounds like on a day that can run anywhere from 150 to nearly 300 guests.
Where a planner fits
The venue's own coordinator oversees setup and operations for the property itself. Where we come in is the floor plan we design for each wedding — it's what keeps a guest count of 150 or nearly 300 from ever feeling crowded.
The Space
The grounds, the chapel, the Manor House, and the Ballroom.
Every part of the day has its own setting at Sandlewood — the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception each feel special, and the transition between them feels natural for guests. There are so many areas for beautiful photos, which is exactly why photos are the part of the timeline that needs the most room.
In Michelle's Words
“What stands out to me is the feeling when a wedding comes to life there.”
“As a planner, I appreciate how Sandlewood Manor gives each part of the celebration its own setting. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception each feel special, while the transition between them feels natural for guests. It’s a beautiful property, but what stands out to me is the feeling when a wedding comes to life there.”

Building the Timeline
Where the buffer goes, and how big the room can get.
Photos need the room
Of everything on a Sandlewood wedding day, photos are what needs the most buffer built into the timeline — there are that many beautiful spots on the property to use.
150 to almost 300, comfortably
We've hosted guest counts here ranging from 150 up to nearly 300, and it's never felt crowded. The floor plan we build for each wedding is what keeps it feeling right-sized either way.
On the Day
Rain plan, and working with vendors the venue already knows.
If the weather turns
Sandlewood has indoor options built in for the event, and venue staff run the shuttles to move guests when weather makes that necessary.
Vendors the venue already knows
The vendors we'd recommend here are already on Sandlewood's own approved vendor list. There's no formal arrangement — venue staff have referred us more than once, and couples often book us after seeing reviews or social media posts of our work here.
Before You Book
Know your included hours before you build the timeline.
Build your timeline around the event hours Sandlewood's rental actually includes, and decide early whether you'll need more. Additional hours can be added for a fee.
A Real Wedding Here
Alexa & Brian.
Their day at Sandlewood came together on short notice after their original venue fell through — and it's still one of our most photographed weddings. It was later featured in Weddings in Houston magazine's 2023 real-weddings issue. Photography by Mustard Seed Photography.
